Second attempt to paint something that might suit my lovely gilt frame. 
These colours suite the frame much better than the seascape I did a while ago.
I can't wait for it to dry enough to put it in the frame and hang it.

It was a challenge to get the sunlight coming through the trees, but a great learning experience.

This is my neighbors beautiful barn owl called Quill.
I hope I've captured Quill's super soft feathers and cheeky personality.  Such a gorgeous boy! 
I can't wait to get this framed and see if my neighbor thinks I've done Quill justice!

This painting was completed over a few weeks at our village art group.
A few friends at the group have an interest in trying oils, so I brought in one of my photographs and with a little of my tuition and guidance we tried to complete our own versions in oils.
Everyone seemed to have lots of fun and we're going to attempt another oil in a few weeks.

It's another technique I've fallen in love with!

Bengal

This was a challenge trying to get the bright colours on the lovely Bengal cat.

Feathers and fur and such a joy to do in pastels.  It was great fun to draw this beautiful little bird as a wedding gift for my friends.
