Jumping spider
Not everyone will like this, but I find some spiders are quite beautiful. I quite fancied trying my hand at a spider. Most people at the art group were avoiding coming near whilst I was drawing this.
Sunflowers
This was a small oil where I was trying to keep the painting style loose.

I thought I would have a go at a kingfisher in pastels on pastelmat.
I couldn't resist trying to capture the beautiful colours of this feathery wonder :)

Tranquil River
Second attempt to paint something that might suit my lovely gilt frame.
These colours suite the frame much better than the seascape I did a while ago.
I can't wait for it to dry enough to put it in the frame and hang it.

Winter Glow

It was a challenge to get the sunlight coming through the trees, but a great learning experience.

Barn Owl - Pastels
This is my neighbors beautiful barn owl called Quill.
I hope I've captured Quill's super soft feathers and cheeky personality. Such a gorgeous boy!
I can't wait to get this framed and see if my neighbor thinks I've done Quill justice!

I tried to keep the style similar to a previous work to try to make a matching pair.
Woodland walk - Oil

This painting was completed over a few weeks at our village art group.
A few friends at the group have an interest in trying oils, so I brought in one of my photographs and with a little of my tuition and guidance we tried to complete our own versions in oils.
Everyone seemed to have lots of fun and we're going to attempt another oil in a few weeks.
