Siamese - pen and wash
I thought I would have a little practise of pen and wash before we have our art group theme evening using this technique next term.
It's another technique I've fallen in love with!
Siamese 2
I enjoyed doing this pose in pen and wash. My favorite bit was drawing the cute little paw pads.
Siamese 3

Blue tit - pastel
Feathers and fur and such a joy to do in pastels. It was great fun to draw this beautiful little bird as a wedding gift for my friends.

Lulworth Cove - Oil
Lulworth Cove - Oil 42cm x 53cm
I thought I would challenge myself and try to paint a seascape. It was really quite difficult tackling the water, but I felt myself get to grips with it more and more as I worked. I was quite happy with the result.
I hope to paint more seascapes in the near future. It was lots of fun.
This is based on a photo I took whilst on holiday at Lulworth Cove a couple of years ago. Beautiful place to visit.

Apples in pastel
Apples in Pastel
I painted these a while ago in watercolour, but wanted to see how they might turn out in pastel.
Loved trying to get the shine to look right on the skin.

Pinsley wood - oil
Pinsley wood - 30x40cm oil
I was trying to capture the sunlight glowing through the trees and casting shadows on the path.
I am growing more and more fond of painting the woodland pictures. I find it challenging and rewarding trying to capture the light and shadows in this setting.

My first go at painting cows. Glad these were quite friendly as I was quite nervous of their horns.
