Scotch bonnet peppers watercolour
I painted this as a thank you to a local farmer who kindly lets us metal detect on his land.
I saw him planting some scotch bonnet peppers when I first met him so thought this might appeal. He really loved the painting!

Botanical gardens Oxford
Botanical gardens Oxford Plein air Oil.
Went out with some friends from our village art group to the botanical gardens to paint.
This view really caught my eye with the contrasting colours.

Spring walk
Spring walk - Oil
25cm x 42cm
I loved the way the shadows were falling across the path and bluebells when I was walking in this wood a few weeks ago.
I wanted to see if I could capture how pretty it was in oils.

Country walk
Country Walk Oil
12"x 16"
I wanted to do a country scene with a lighter misty feel to it. I loved experimenting with the leaves and flowers. I was very happy with the result.

Kidlington path watercolour
Kidlington path watercolour
Experimenting with loose washes of colour and not too much detail in this picture. Trying to capture the sunlight and the hazy feel that can give. I quite like the way it turned out so I might try some more experiments like this.

Bix
Bix watercolour
A painting of Bix my Aunts best friends Rottie. Love painting the animals! It's so much fun trying to get the tones in to the dark fur on Rotties.

I've been experimenting with more pastel tones in oil.
Really enjoyed painting this. I will be doing a few more variations on this theme.

Willowbrook farm
Willowbrook farm Plein air watercolour
Had a lovely day sketching at Willowbrook farm in Hampton Gay yesterday.
I wish the sheep had stayed still a little longer, it's hard painting a moving target.
