Yellow Christmas

Yellow Christmas watercolour

I painted this card to cheer up my friend.
I think this is how we've all felt about 2020.

Iris

 Iris watercolour

I've been getting back in to watercolours lately.  I wanted to try something more botanical.

Tiger

Tiger - graphite pencil

Another test using pencils.  It's been great to get back to using pencil rather than paint.  It's a challenge trying to capture the different textures in pencil.

Bighorn sheep

Bighorn sheep - graphite pencil

Experimenting with pencils.

Jumping spider

Jumping spider - oil

Experimenting to see if I could paint one of our cheeky jumping spiders.

Birds

 Birds - Oil

Painted for my dearest friend.

Piglets napping

Piglets napping - watercolour

Loved painting these little snoozing piglets.

Bee

Bee watercolour

Having more fun with loose washes of paint with this small bee picture.

Parrot

Parrot - watercolours

Having a play with very loose washes of watercolour.

Gardening

Gardening - watercolour

Experimenting with painting people in watercolours.

Gardening

Gardening - Watercolour

Watercolour I did at our village art group last night of our garden. We had to produce a watercolour painting on the theme 'gardening'.

I see you

I see you - Pastels

40cm x 50cm pastel I did to celebrate WWF Global Tiger Day.
I've entered this to the SAA magazine in hope it might get selected for print in the next issue.
Fingers crossed!
