Autumn walk - watercolour
Based on a photo I took whilst walking the dog one morning last week. Love the Autumn colours on my walks.

Had lots of fun painting this little old lady for the first half of the post card. I handed the half finished card to Jason Port - another artist in our art group who then came up with the second half of the card.
Absolutely loved what he painted!

Drypoint and lino
Drypoint and lino experiments
Experimenting with combining lino cut with drypoint etchings. I was really pleased with how these turned out.
I was even more pleased when I saw how much better they looked when my friend Graham framed all the prints up for me.

Drypoint experiments
Blue tit
I have been experimenting with drypoint etching.
You prepare a metal plate for printmaking by scratching lines directly into the plate. The incised line or sunken area holds the ink.
Indian Runners
This is a plate I made based on a photo of our three lovely Indian runner ducks.
Bee
I've been experimenting with the different marks I could make to get more shading in to the image.

Eagle Owl
Eagle Owl - pastel
I took a photo of this beautiful owl and thought I would try to capture those beautiful eyes and feathers in pastel.

Coming home
Coming home
Oil on linen canvas 30cm x 40cm
Lots of fun painting the sunlight coming through the trees in this. I've got an old gold swept frame that I wanted to paint something for and I hope this will look good in the frame. Waiting for a few days for the picture to dry before I try it out.

Trying out pastels again. They were such a joy to use with the leopard I thought I would try another beautiful creature.
Photo kindly provided by my good friend Franck Martin who's is a very talented photographer.

Sunrise
Sunrise Watercolour
Just finished off a little watercolour I started a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't sure about the strength of the colour in the sky at first, but I think it turned out nice in the end.
Based on an early morning photo I took whilst out walking our dog.
